Michael Scobey

CEO

Mike is the Founder and CEO of Alio Labs Inc and a visionary leader and innovator in the field of optical thin films. As CEO, Mike plans to continue to push the boundaries of technology and innovation.

Mike’s career is marked by the founding of Alluxa, acquired by Enpro (NPO) in 2020, the CEO and cofounder of Soladigm/View, the leader of dynamic windows which went public on Nasdaq in 2021; and the President/CTO of Cierra Photonics, now part of II-VI. These roles have not only honed his expertise but also showcased his ability to lead and inspire teams towards achieving groundbreaking solutions. A graduate of the University of California, Davis, in Electrical Engineering. Mike is an avid pilot, golfer and outdoor enthusiast.

Jason Mulliner

CFO

Jason is the Chief Financial Officer at Alio Labs. Jason began his career at National Instruments in Austin, TX where he held several technical positions including Applications Engineer and Product Line Manager.  It was there that Jason became acquainted with Machine Vision, Optics, and other exciting photonics technologies. After a career pivot into Finance, Jason served as the CFO of Edmund Optics and subsequently Alluxa. 

Mr. Mulliner has been active in the industry serving on the Board of Directors for SPIE and on several committees. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Paul Stupik

VP of Operations

Paul serves as the Vice President of Operations at Alio Labs. During his career, Paul has led significant projects, including his recent role as Optical Coating Engineering Manager at MKS – Newport Corporation, where he managed operations from 2019 to 2023. Prior to that, he was the Project Element Manager for the Primary Mirror Coating Facility at the Giant Magellan Telescope Organization, overseeing critical developments in both Chile and Pasadena, CA. Additionally Paul served as a member of the review board for the European Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) coating plant. At Optical Corporation of America, Paul pioneered the first 100 Ghz bandpass coatings for the telecommunications industry.

His academic credentials include postdoctoral studies in Inorganic Chemistry at Harvard University and earning a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Northeastern University.

Shaun McCaffery

General Manager

Shaun joined Alio Labs in 2023 serving as General Manager. A University of California, Davis, alumnus with a degree in Mechanical Engineering (1998), Shaun began his career at Optical Coating Laboratory/JDSU, specializing in mechanical and equipment engineering from 1998 to 2006. He then moved to Alluxa, where he continued to make significant contributions in optical thin film processes. He holds several patents in optics, optical metrology, and optical coating technology.

In addition to his professional achievements, Shaun has been an active community leader. He served on the Healdsburg City Council from 2012 to 2020 and has been a member of the Sonoma County Planning Commission since 2022. Shaun also contributes to the Marin/Sonoma Mosquito and Vector Control Board (2013-present), Reach for Home Board (2021-present), and Friends of the Healdsburg Library Board (2012-present)
